when a substances density is more than Or a fluid it sinks means go down and settle on the bottom but when asubstance density is less it floats

Answer: The process of sinking and floating of bodies is directly related to their density. The substances

whose density is more than the density of a liquid sink in the liquid. On the contrary the

substances whose density is less than the density of a liquid float on it. In this condition, only

a body can displace the liquid equal to its weight and the body floats on the liquid.

Thus, when a body displaces the liquid equal to its weight, the body floats on the liquid.

It is known as the law of floatation.
