Media mix is a combination of various communication channels which can be used by the businessmen to fulfil their marketing objectives. They include radio, newspapers, television, websites, billboard, email, social media like Facebook, Twitter, and direct mail.

The main purpose of a media plan is to find the best way of conveying a message to the audience for which it is meant. There are four stages in making a media plan. In the first step the market has to be analysed. After that the media objectives have to be established. Next comes the stage of developing and implementing the media strategy. The final stage comprises the evaluation and follow-up.
