in broad sense ,formation of soil in vast geological cycle has been going on continuously for millions of years of geological time.in which geological cycle has 3 phases
erosion
transportation
deposition and earth movement
cycle starts with erosion phase in which degradation of exposed rocks by weathering processes..weathering may be physical and chemical.
physical weathering may be caused by wind, water, glacier
chemical weathering may be due to the chemical process which changes the form of parent rock..
these weathering process change the rocks into fragments
these fragments gets transported and in the process further gets fragmented into small pieces and gets deposited at certain place.
that is why the soil obtained is the final or ultimate result of the weathering process which parent rocks have gone through.

Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

Natural elements like wind and flowing water weather the rocks. When water that is flowing like came into contact with a rock, the power of the water causes the rock to break into small pieces, which are subsequently deposited on the river bank.Soil develops as a result.Weathering is the process through which soil, rocks, and minerals are transformed into other soil components through physical and chemical processes.the process through which soil, rocks, and minerals are transformed into other soil components through physical and chemical processes. The development of soil includes weathering.Additionally, a variety of flora, bacteria, and other creatures that create an acidic environment and encourage chemical weathering are found in soils.
