Take example of a worker,he would try to increase his income...but this can lead to problems for the manager.Take another example of industrialists...they will try to make more and more dams for electricity but this can lead to displacement of villagers.
Hope it Helps!!!

Answer:

Two individuals and groups of people may have conflicting interests. For example, for many people, large dams are an indication of development and prosperity. However, building of large dams results in the displacement of villagers and tribals from their homes and land. They not only lose their land and homes but also their livelihood. Therefore, villagers often protest against the building of large dams. ‘Narmada BachaoAndolan’ is one such case where villagers and tribals have been opposing the construction of the dam. So, it is clear that different persons can have different goals and what may be development for one person may not be development, or may even be detrimental, for the other.
