The modified classification after the Bismuth classification is the Strasberg classification. During laparoscopic cholecystectomy, this classification allows the distinction between the serious and the small bile duct injuries that are performed. It includes the type A to D of the Strasberg classification. Any further involvement of the muscles is not described in this classification.
