meristmetic tissue is the one that keeps on dividing....it's types are
apical....it z prsnt in tips of plants ..majn function of it z that to increase its length
lateral...location z in sides of plants...fuction z to increase its width.
intercalary...location z on internodes...function z both to increase width as well as length

There are three types of meristem :-
i)✔✔ APICAL MERISTEM :-
It is present at the apics of root and shoot. It is responsible for increase in length.
ii)✔✔INTERCALARY MERSTHAM :-
It is present at the base of leaves above or below the nodes and it is responsible for the elongation of the organ.
iii)✔✔LATERAL MERISTEM :-
It is present at the lateral sides and it is responsible for increase in diameter.
