The chloroplast has 2 membranes inner and outer membrane with an empty intermediate space in between. Inside the chloroplast are stacks of thylakoids, called grana, as well as stroma, the dense fluid inside of the chloroplast. These thylakoids contain the chlorophyll that is necessary for the plant to go through photosynthesis.

the chloroplast is a plastid . It traps the sun's energy and transforms into chemical energy
and it also helps in carrying photosynthesis.
it also gives colour to the plant cell. there are
100 to 150 chloroplasts in the cell .
