  • Eye is visiual organ.
  • It is enclosed in socket or orbit to protect it from any mechanical injury.
  • Orbit is made up of several bones.
  • The opening of optic nerve runs back to the brain and ophthamlmic artery which entres in orbit is known as optic foramen.
  • The larger hole by which passes large veins and nerves are called Superior orbital fissure.
