Structure of human eye...
The human eye has the following main parts: -
1) Sclerotic layer: - The walls of the eyeball of human eye consists of two layers. The outer covering is known as sclerotic layer. It helps to safe inner parts and refraction of light for eye.
2) Choroid layer: -The black tissue at the inner
of sclerotic layer is known as choroid layer.
It works like light proof box of camera.
3) Cornea: -It is a transparent spherical membrane covering the front of eye.
4) Iris: -It is a dark muscular diaphragm between the cornea and the lens.
5) Pupil: -It is a small hole between the iris through which light inters the eye.
6) Eye lens: -Eye lens is a bi-convex lens made of transparent and soft material made of proteins behind the iris. It's nature is convex.
7) Retina: -Retina is the light sensitive surface of eye in which the image formed.
8) Yellow spot: -It is yellow space in the middle of retina. The image formed at that point and is very clear to see.
9) Blind spot: -It is the point at which the optic nerve leaves the eye. It contains no rods and cones, so image formed at this point is not sent to brain.
