pollen grains are sperical shaped ,male gamete in plants they are produced by the meiosis of mother cells which are diploid..

they are in the sporangium,anther has these mother cells which produce them.

during pollination pollen grains are transferred from anther to stigma of flower .there due to chemicals in style ,these are transferred to ovary ,where one of the 2 pollen grains fuse with egg and other with nucleus of diploid cell .
