Bonjour!!

Structure of Neuron.

The major parts of neurons consist of a cell body, axon and dendrites.

The cell body is filled with cytoplasm, some granular bodies which were spread through the dendrites and a nucleus.

The granular bodies were known as Nissl's granules.

Dendrites are the branches coming out from the cell body.

Dendrites help to transmit the impulses toward the cell body.

The region from where axon connects with the cell body is called Axon hillock.

Axon is the long projection of neuron.

Axons are of mainly two types:

Myelinated and non-myelinated.

Axons with Schwan cells are called Myelinated, which forms the myelin sheath around it.

Non-myelinated axon doesn't have myelin sheath around it.

Gap present between two adjacent myelin sheath is known as Nodes of Ranvier.

In the end part of the axon, the bulb-like structure is formed which is known as a synaptic knob. It transmits the impulse to the other neuron or muscle through the synaptic junction or neuromuscular junction respectively.

Thanks!!

A neuron is consist of nucleus and covered by cell body. The cell body branched out is termed as the dendreon and the longest extension of the dendreon is termed as axon. The dendreons are further branched out are known as dendrites. The axon terminal branched out into synaptic ending or the ending of the axon terminal is termed as the synaptic ending. The axon terminal is covered by a seath like structure is termed as myelin seath. The myelin seath is discontinued at certain places are termed as nodes of ranvier.

For the diagram referred to the attachment.
