Explain the term bio fertilizer?

Biological fertilizer is a substance which contains living microorganisms which when applied to plants either on the surfaces or soil has the ability to colonize the rhizosphere or the interior of the plant. They promote growth by increasing the supply or availability of primary nutrients to the host plant.
