Blind spot is a region on the retina where the optic nerves originate. This region does not has any photoreceptors so no image is formed here............... :)

Heya,
Blind spot: It is not sensitive to light. We can also tell it as, blind spot is the area of zero vision i.e., if an image is formed on this region of retina, it is not sensed and hence, the object is not seen. There are no rods and cones at this spot and it is area where the optic nerve leads back into the brain.
Hope this helps you....:)
