Explain the term Brownian movement.

The random motion of colloidal particles in zig zag motion is known as brownian motion.  Smaller size, lesser viscosity, faster motion. Causes due to unbalanced bombardment of the particles by the molecules of the dispersion medium. It's a  stirring effect.
