Centrifugation is used to seperate contents of mixtures in which the size of solute particles is so small that they easily pass through a filter paper. The principle is that the denser particles are forced to the bottom and the lighter particles stay at the top when the centrifugal machine rotates speedily

USED IN DAIRIES AND HOME TO SEPARATE CREAM FROM MILK OR BUTTER FROM CREAM.

USED IN WASHING MACHINES TO SQUEEZE OUT WATER FROM CLOTHES.

USED IN DIAGNOSTIC LABS FOR BLOOD AND URINE TEST.

USED IN LABORATORIES TO SEPARATE COLLOIDAL PARTICLES FROM THEIR SOLUTIONS.

Centrifigation is derived from centripetal force or center seeking force which means process of clseperation of particles of solution by this force. When thid force is applied to a solution denser constituent forms a layer in the center or container. So, they are seperated. It is used to seperate milk frum butter.

Hope this helps.
