Distance- The length of the actual path which is followed by a particle during its motion in given time interval, is known as Distance.
Extra Important Information-
(i) Distance is a scalar quantity and its unit is metre.
(ii) Distance only depends on actual path followed by the particle in its motion.
(iii) For a moving Body distance always increase its can never be decrease.
(iv) For moving body distance is always positive it can never be negative or zero.
(v) In case the distance covered by the body is zero then it must be at rest.
(vi) Distance does not depends on initial and final position.
