Resource conservation is the planned management of natural resources to maximize their utility, optimum usage in their original application, reuse, and recycling.Their aim is to minimize the energy consumed and wastes generated in all stages, from production to final disposal.

Example of natural resource conservation: A forest that has an endangered species. In this case conserving this endangered species would be main aim for the resource conservation.

Sustainable development is a economic growth in which resource use aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these should not compromise with the needs of future generations.Sustainable development has to take into consideration social, economical, and environmental aspects as well.

Example of Sustainable Development:  In Sustainable Development we have to find a solution between environment (conservation of resources and ecosystems, waste), economical (costs, supply and demand) and social (the public might not like the sight of wind turbines on-shore, off-shore or anywhere near their house that could give them inconvenience).
