Question-

Explain the terms :

  1. CMC
  2. Kraft temperature (Tk).

Answer-

  1. CMC refers to Critical micelle concentration. The concentration of surfactants above which micelles form and all additional surfactants added to the system go to micelles.
  2. The temperature at which the solubility of a surfactant is equal to the surfactant’s critical micelle concentration is referred to as Krafts Temperature.
