A unisexual flower is defined as a flower that possesses either stamens or carpels. They do not have both stamens and carpels. For example, papaya, coconut flowers etc. Bisexual flowers are those flowers which possess both stamens and carpels.

cross pollination:-

pollination in which transfer of pollen grain from anther to stigma of different flower of different plant or different flower of same plant termed as cross pollination

Bisexual flower:-

a flower which have both androecium and gynoecium structure termed as bisexual flower

  • in this type of flower mostly self pollination occurs

Unisexual flowers:-

a flower in which either androecium or gynoecium present known as unisexual flowers.

  • in this type of flowers only cross pollination occurs.
