in this poem Edward Lear has brought out the simplicity and beauty of relationship shared by two friends. with a slight touch of humour , lear present the duck who extremely keen to see the beauty of the world beyond the pond where she is confined endlessly . she comes to the kangaroo with not just the request , but also the solution to any problem that might prove to be a hindrance to her fun filled project. the kangaroo is a little reluctant keeping his health in mind but when he sees the lengths to which the Duck has gone to prepare for a trip , he is reassured and readily agrees.
