Its A way to represent the bonds b/w ions nd electrons in molecule.

Some points to be known while representation :-

• the atom having having lowest enthalpy value is considered as central atom.
• hydrogen & flourine are always treated as side atoms.
• if atoms have same EN value then the atom which have ability to form multiple bonds or atom which is less in no. is considered as central atom.
• the atoms are arranged in such a way that each atom gets the nearest inert gas configuration.
