PEOPLES PERCEPTION : this is the main reason because the people must think of themselves as citizens of india  rather than thinking themselves of belonging to a particular religion or community . this plays a crucial role in how the social division turns out

THE ROLE OF THE COMMUNITY : it also depends on how political parties raise demands while asking for vote . politicians can use religion as a weapon and target the individuals by triggering their sentiment and raising communalism

THE GOVERNMENTS DUTY  : the government also plays a major role in deciding whether an issue will lead to a social division . if the government makes law accordingly solving the problems of the people there will be no social divisions in the society
