Before independence India done trade with west asian countries such as Britain France etc..

West Asian countries depends on india for raw material and labour etc ..

For exports and taking raw material India is chosen by West Asia countries

East Asia such as China Japan and Vietnam
Vietnam is world 3 rd largest country to produce rice in that time it imports rice and paddy to countries
from China tea and silk is imported to India.
