neurons tht carrys nerve impulse are made up of the cell body, the axon , nd several dendrites. signals move across the synapse , the places whre axon of one neuron meets the dendrite of another using some chemical called neutrotransmitters ..

if the synaptic clift is wide .. transmission takes place with the help of chemical known as chemical synaps or neurotransmitters

if the synaptic clift is narrow then it is electrical synaps .
