Triangular Slave trade was between three continents and they are :- Europe, Africa and America. This is why it was called triangular trade as it was between 3 continents. It was begin in 17th century. French merchants sailed from the ports of Bordeaux or Nantes to the African coast. Ports cities like Bordeaux and Nantes owned their economic prosperity to the flourishing slave trade . National assembly was also held to stop this but it did not pass any law fearing of opposition from buisness man whose income was depend on slave trade. It was banned in 1794 but after 10 years it was reintroduced.. I hope it helps
