The types of sentences are :

1). Assertive Sentence - In this type, there is one, subject, one verb and a object.

Eg. - Ram reads a book.

2). Exclamatory sentence : In this type, marks of exclamation are used with feelings depicted.

Eg. - Alas! He missed his boards.

3). Imperative Sentence : In this sentence, order, command, request is done.

Eg. - Please bring a cup of tea for me. ( Request )

4). Negative Sentence : In this type, there is negative response of any sentence.

Eg. - I am not using smartphone.

5). Interrogative Sentence : In this type, a question is asked by using the words like - what, where, how, which, whom etc.

Eg. - How much syllabus you have completed?

There are 5 types of sentences,they are:

●Assertive or Declarative Sentence

● Interrogative Sentence

Assertive or Declarative Sentence:

Sentences which state facts ,describe things or report events are called Assertive or Declarative Sentence .

Example:

No man is an island.

I have a little kit.

Prevention is better than cure.

Interrogative Sentence:

A sentence that asks a question is called an Interrogative Sentence.

Eample:

Who would not love his own country?

Where are you from?

Does anything succeed like success?

Imperative Sentence :

A sentence that expresses a command, a request ,an entreaty or a desire is called an Imperative Sentence.

Example:

Open the window.

Exclamatoy Sentence:

A sentence that expresses a strong or sudden feeling is called an Exclamatoy Sentence.

Example:
