The Effects of Forces. A force acting on an object may cause the object to change shape, to start moving, to stop moving, to accelerate or decelerate. When two objects interact with each other they exert a force on each other, the forces are equal in size but opposite in direction

**EFFECTS OF FORCES WITH EXAMPLES:-
*Can change the direction of an object in motion. For instance, a soccer player can control the motion of the ball by applying force that changes the direction of the ball. (But not it's speed).
*Can change the shape of an object. Example:- When force is applied on a dough /clay the shape of the dough/clay changes.
*May change the speed of an object if it is in motion. (to accelerate/ deccelarate) . Example:-
When a batsman hits the ball with a bat, the speed of the ball changes according to the force applied on it.
*May make an object move from rest. Example, a ball can be moved when force is applied on it.
*Can stop the motion of an object. For example, A goal keeper stops a moving ball by applying force on it.
