Rain Water Harvesting:–It is used to preserve the rain water on the roof of the house.The rain water is sent to any pit or bore with the help of pipes from the roof and this collocted water is used for agriculture and other work.
Collecting Water in rivers:–In hilly region where terraced farming is done ,water is collected in tge upper part of the field.It not only helps in making the soil swampy but also in conserving the underground water.It also help to fight against drought.
