Conservation of mineral is the most serious problem because they are exhaustible resources.
1. Minerals can be conserved by bringing in efficiency in mining technology as well as in the technology of benefication.
2. They are many 'cyclic ' minerals such as iron, aluminium, copper, tin, brass etc. Recycling of these minerals can help in reducing waste.
3. Scarce minerals can be saved by substituting them by those minerals which are cheaper and are found in abundance.
