Hey,

Anaerobic respiration is a type of respiration where oxygen is not used as an oxidant and the organic food is broken down incompletely to liberate energy. The common products of the anaerobic respiration are CO2, ethyl alcohol, and lactic acid.

Such type of anaerobic respiration is of two types.
1)Lactic acid fermentation
2)Alcohol fermentation.

Answer:

In the absence of oxygen When breakdown of glucose is carried out in the absence of oxygen in a cell, it is called as anaerobic respiration. This process is called as fermentation in microbes. Ethyl alcohol or lactic acid is produced by the breakdown of pyruvate.

in the absence of oxygen, glucose is broken down into lactic acid nd produce two molecules of ATP in animals and in plants glucose is broken down into ethanol nd CO2.....nd produce 2 molecules of ATP...............................the whole process is done in cytoplasm of the cells.....in tge absence of oxygen•••
