Electric generators are based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When a conducting loop is moved in a magnetic field, electric current is induced in the loop. Construction of a D.C generator: An armature consists of many turns of a coil placed between the poles of a strong magnet.

gud morning meri pyari bestie
luv u innasara yaar ......
DC generator much bhi nahi hai yaar .
DC - Direct current .
It has only 1 way . Only 1 direction either
in clockwise or anti-clockwise but only
in 1 direction. For example :- Chargers ,
T.V's , Computers etc .
Above mentioned diagram is same like
Electromagnetic induction activity .
If we are using DC current in the above
diagram then the ring metal lifts up and
falls down immediately .
Why happens so , because the flux with
the ring metal is zero when the switch is
on . When we allow curtain current to
flow through the solenoid then the
metal ring behaves like a bar magnet .
In this there will be no change in flux .
Now if the switch is off what happens
means the ring metal again lifts up and
falls down . In this there will be a change
in flux .
In DC
B1-C2 and B2-C1 changes due to this it flows only in one direction .
Only half-slip rings are used .
DC is different from AC .
