A motor works on the principle that when a rectangular coil is placed in a magnetic field and current is passed through it. A force acts on the coil which rotates it continuously. When electric current is passed into the rectangular coil, this current produces a magnetic field around the coil.

• Armature coil

•Two magnet

•Axle

•Brushes ( B1 and B2)

•Split rings

• Battery

Working....

When the source battery is connected to the brushes the current while flow through the armature coil ABCD.

When the current flow in the armature coil ABCD then according to Fleming's left hand rule the force in AB is in the downward direction and similar in the armature coil CD, the force in the upward direction.

This is simultaneously phenomenon which rotate the motor ...
