the principle of motor is that when a current carrying conductor is placed inside a magnetic field it experiences of force

let ABCD be a coin placed inside magnetic field when current is passed through a b c d a b moves downward and CD moves upward the split ring commutator reverse is the direction of the current now CD moves downward and a b moves upward the cycle has been complete
