hi
here's your answer looking for

the special theory of relativity was one of the evolutionary theory that was given by a great genius scientist Albert Einstein.
basically, he proposed his theory of special relativity when it was proved that light travels with the constant speed of
3 \times {10}^{8} m {s}^{ - 1}

when he came to know that, then there was a big question.
and that question helped him a lot to make the theory of special relativity.

Mainly, this theory is based on the inertial frame of reference.
that means, a body travelling with the constant velocity or in other words that is not accelerating at all.

he said that, when any object moves near the speed of a light then two things happens:-

1). time dilated
2) length contracted

this dilated time is called as time dilation and the contracted length is called as length contraction.

now, let's discuss what is time dilation and length contraction.

Time deletion :- when any body or object moves near the speed of a light then, it's time get slower. and this slower of a time is called as time dilation.

length contraction :- when any object or a body moves near the speed of light then, its length get contracted and this contraction full length of that body is called as length contraction.

time dilation is denoted by the following equation:-

€ = t √{1-(v^2/c^2)}
here,
€ = time dilated

length contraction is denoted by following equation:-
$ = l √{1-(v^2/c^2)}
here,
$ = length contacted

because of this theory only, we came to know that that time is relative term it's not the absolute one.
and even the time table is also possible. that is the most interesting thing about this theory.

Example:- suppose a particle is moving near the speed of light, then, as it reaches near the speed of light then, the time start slowing down for him. this means that the whole world is going on normally but for that particles his one second will be greater than 1 second for the whole world.

the second thing that will happen, is the length contraction. this means when did particle reach near about the speed of a light. then , the actual length of that particles will be smaller enough or in other words it get contracted .

Later, he also his most famous equation that, give us the concept of interchanging of energy and mass.

That is,

e = m {c}^{2}
today, we can see its real example. the world's largest experiment of Large Hadron Collider. when the nucleons forced by the electrical and magnetic field to reach near the speed of a light then, its mass get increases.

But, when Albert Einstein deeply think about it. then you get to know that, this whole world is not a inertial frame. actually, this world is the non inertial frame.
so this theory is only applicable on inertial frames.

but, after 10 years, he gave us next theory of relativity that was the general theory of relativity. in which he describes about the gravity.

as the Newton explains the gravity as a force, that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the two objects.

but his theory didn't explain the mechanism of gravity.

after 200 years, the Albert Einstein gave the general theory of relativity.
in which he describes the gravity as a behaviour of space time curve.
now, spacetime is a 4 dimensional, in which three dimensions that is x axis, y axis and z axis , and the time as a fourth dimension is included.

when any body having a mass then, it will make distortion in space time.
and because of this distortion in space time the gravity acts.

at the quantum level, it is suppose that there must be a particle that is responsible for the one of the fundamental forces of Universe that is gravity.
This particle is named as graviton.

this is all about the special theory of relativity and general theory of relativity.

hope you are satisfied with my answer
