Explain with example the Role of Political Leaders to determine the outcome of politics of Social Divisions

• The role of Political leader is enormous and Vital to determine outcome of politics of Social division

• Political leader is the one who have Power to run a Political Party   but it is mandatory for him  to fulfill two demands in order to achieve a desired or Peaceful destination

• The two demands listed as below :

1. It is necessary for him to understand that democracy is not Simply rule by majority opinion
2. It is also necessary that rule by majority does not become rule by majority  Community in term of Linguistic Group or religion etc .

• Thus , it depend on how the political leader raise the demand of any community

• No Society can fully and permanently resolve Conflicts among different Groups

• The demand for ' only Sinhala' act passed in 1956 to recognise Sinhala as officer language was at the cost of interest and Identity of Tamil  ( Disregarding Tamils )

• The Constitution of Sri lanka not filled any of the demands of democracy thus it led to a Strained relation between two community

• The tamil Community not treated as equally in Sri lanka and also the leader have taken the path of Majoritarianism

• Thus , it is against the interest and identity of Tamil Community in Sri Lanka

• While , in Yogastva , the leaders of different ethnic communities presented their demands in such a way that these could not be accommodated within a single community
