Being too good is not so bad. To be too good is to be compassionate and understanding, and selfless to a certain extent. People will use you if you are good, true. But a person who's compassionate to help finds joy in helping others and does this to satisfy his own desire to be good. Selflessness comes from lack of inhibition. So if you want to be too good to get acceptance from others or to be recognized, only then you will find being too good bad.
