If you place a dipole in a uniform electric field with angle 0° the torque will be minimum (i.e. zero).

If you place a dipole in a uniform electric field with angle 90° the dipole will experience maximum torque (i.e. P×E).

And,

If you place a dipole in a uniform electric field with an angle 180° the dipole will experience minimum torque (i.e. zero) again.
