Advantages -:
1. This system works better in a long run. In an ideal world all political leaders know what is good for the people and are motivated only by a desire to serve them.
2. They know that if they raise issues that people wanted to raise, their popularity and chance of victory will increase in the next election.
disadvantages-:
1. it creats a sense of disunity and factionism in every locality.
2. parties and candidates use dirty tricks to win elections.
