1.  bhangar soil - it is older alluvium ana is composed of lime nodules or kanker and its composition is clayey.it can be cultivated using manure.

2.  khaddar soil - this soil is light in colour and made up of newer deposits.it tends to be more fertile as new layers are deposited years after years during the monsoon season.

  • In India the alluvial soil can be found in the Indo–Gangetic plain. The alluvial soil fond in India are mainly of two types, Khadar and Bangur. The khadar are low lying areas found near the banks of the river and has the new alluvial soil.
  • They are made up of fine soil particles, light in colour, are very fertile soil and forms around the deltas region. The bangur is the older soil. It is medium to fine in texture and has low organic content. This soil is highly productive under the conditions of the irrigation and the fertilization.
