1)Solid or liquid waste
2)Clinical, agricultural,industrial and general waste

According to degradation:
1)Biodegradable 
- This are mainly organic wastes that can be broken down naturally by microorganism in the environment.

2)Non-biodegradable
These are wastes that cannot naturally be broken down in the environment. Examples include plastic wastes.
