There are s many social and political factors that led to outbreak of revolutionary protest in France.They are;
SOCIAL FACTORS:
1. Division of French society into three estates.
2. About 60% of land was owned by nobles, church and rich members of the first and second estates.3
3. All the taxes were paid by the members of the third estate. The clergy and nobles were exempted from taxes.
POLITICAL FACTORS:
1.Autocracy of Louis XVI
2. Depleted treasury by extravagant living and financial help to American colonies.
3.To meet the expenses of administration,started collecting increased taxes from the third estates.
