Causes of the Russian Revolution!
There were several causes for the generation of the Russian Revolution.
The main issue is the then prevailing condition of Russia which was largely responsible for it.
Due to supreme power which was concentrated in the hands of the Czars:
1. Czar Alexander II brought some reforms in Russia and became famous but subsequent Czar Alexander III and Czar Nicholas were oppressive... During their reign, the political organizations like-Meer, and Duma had lost their political powers.
2. The Policy of Russification: Czar Alexander III was a despotic ruler but he also followed the policy of Russification of all the systems. He declared ‘One Czar, One Church,
3. The Social System:The Russian Society was divided into two classes, namely rich and poor before the Revolution. The nobles, lords and the rich belonged to the rich class. Poor farmers, workers, labourers, and serfs belonged to the poor class.
4. The Rise of Nihilism:The rise of Nihilism catalysted the Russian Revolution of 1917. He came forward to destroy the prevailing rule, society and religious faith and to create a new world.
5. Influence of Industrial Revolution:The Industrial Revolution benefitted to flame the fire of Revolution in Russia.
