Various temperature in India are:
1. Cold Weather Season (December-February),
January and February are coldest months of India. Temperature is between 10°C to 15°C in Northern India and
25°C in Southern India.
2. Hot Weather Season (March-May),
Northern region experiences a hot weather season during month of April and May. Temperature starts increasing
by middle of March and mid May where Mercury touches 41° to 42°C. Temperature exceeds 45°C in areas of central and
north-west India.
Striking feature of hot weather season is Loo. It's hot and dry wind which blows in Northern India and Pakistan and
cause heat stroke. Southern part of India don't experience hot weather season. Highest temperature is recorded in months of
March and May.
3. Rainy Season (June-September),
Inflow of south-westerly monsoon brings season of rain in India. Monsoon could burst in first week of
June or earlier in coastal areas while in interior it can be delayed in the first week of July. With onset of rains,
temperature starts falling. Indian sub-continent receives bulk of rainfall during south-west monsoon period.
4. Season of Retreating South-west Monsoon (October-November).
South-west monsoon starts retreating from northern India by second week of September. Pattern of retreat shows
interesting regional changes. Weather in that season is characterised by high day temperatures but nights are
pleasant with minimum temperature down to 20°C.
