The first state to be created based on language is Andhra Pradesh.
It is a state which is moving to it’s fourth Capital. Lost Chennai(erstwhile Madras) on 1st October 1953. A new state came into existence with Kurnool as it’s capital. As part of Telangana merger, Hyderabad was named capital of Visalandhra on 1st November, 1956. After bifurcation, Amaravati was declared to be the Capital of divided AP. I am not going into details pertaining why, how etc.
AP was graced with Tirumala Sri Venkateshwara Temple. It is the richest temple in the world in terms of donations received.
Amaravati School of art is one of the three famous school of arts in India, the other being Gandhara and Mathura.
Biggest natural gas reserve in India is discovered in AP
Eastern Naval Command, the first and largest naval command has it’s headquarters in Visakhapatnam, AP.
Vijayawada, part of New capital has also Asia’s first large Autohub. It also has one of the busiest Railway junctions in India acting as one of the main node connecting South and North India.
Name some famous diamonds known to history of mankind like Koh-i-noor, hope diamonds etc are mined from Kollur mine, present in Guntur District of AP.
It also boasts second longest coastline after Gujarat.
