Explain What Happened From The Time A Boy On The Top Mast Discovered Land Till Gulliver Climbed A Steep Hill To Get An Idea Of The Country He Was In
Answers
On 16 June 1703, a boy on the top mast discovered land. On 17th they could see a great island or continent on the south of which was a small neck of land jutting out into the sea. The creek was too shallow to hold a ship of about one hundred tons. Gulliver's ship was anchored within a league of this creek. The Captain sent a dozen men in a long boat to find some water. Gulliver got permission to go and see the country. They did not find any river or spring, nor any signs of inhabitants on land. So the men wandered on the shore to find some fresh water near the sea. Gulliver walked for a mile on the other side and observed that the country was barren and rocky.
He did not find anything interesting and was returning to the creek when he saw that his men were being chased by a giant. So Gulliver ran as fast as he could in the same direction where he had gone earlier and climbed up a steep hill from where he could see the country. He saw that it was fully cultivated and the grass was about twenty foot high.
