Roughage also adds bulk to our diet and makes us feel full, thus helping in the weight management. Lack of roughage in our diet will, thus, result in constipation and increased blood sugar level, cholesterol levels and may also cause weight gain.

Roughage is actually a fibre. If we don't intake sufficient roughage our health may be badly affected. Roughage helps in proper digestion and proper constipation. If we don't take it properly there will problem in digesting our foods and the also there will be a problem in constipation leading to various illness.
