Metals are materials holding or possessing the characteristics of being shiny, hard, fusible, malleable, ductile, etc

The metallic materials are used -

1.for support eg. iron

2.in kitchens as utensils to cook food eg. steel, aluminum

3.for making wires eg. copper

.The non metallic materials are used-

1.in switch boards to prevent shocks eg. PVC

2.to make handles of utensils
