Given

  • Find the area of triangle whose vertices are (1,-1),(-4,6),(-3,-5)

To Find

  • Area of Triangle whose verticle are

  • (1,-1)
  • (-4,6)
  • (-3,-5)

Solution

Let,

Let the two points be A (1, -1), B(-4, 6) & C(-3,-5)

Area of triangle ABC = = [×₁(Y₂ − V3) + X₂(V3 - V₁) +X3(V₁ — V₂) ]

Here

  • X₁ = 1, y₁ = -1

  • X₂ = -4, Y₂ = 6

  • x3 = -3, y3 = -5

Putting values

Area of triangle ABC = [ 1(6 − (−5)) + (-4)(-5− (−1) ) + (−3)(−1 − 6) ]

1/2= [1(6 +5) + (-4) (-5+1)+(-3)(-7)]

1/2 [1(11) + (-4)(-4) + (-3)(-7)]

1/2=[11+16+21]

=1/2 [48]

= 24 square units

  • Hence,The Required Answer is 24 Square Units.
