WHAT IS A STAR?
STARS are the hot bodies of glowing gas that start their life in Nebulae. They vary in size, mass and temperature, diameters ranging from 450x smaller to over 1000x larger than that of the Sun.
The colour of star is determined by its temperature, the hottest stars are blue and the coolest stars are red.
LIFE SPAN OF A STAR
STELLER EVOLUTION is the process by which a star changes over the course of time. Its lifetime can range from a few million years for the most massive to trillions of years for the least massive, which is considerably longer than the age of the universe. All stars are born from the collapsing clouds of gas and dust called NEBULAE.
