because myopia is that defect of vision due to which a person cannot see the distant objects clearly but a person can see the nearby objects clearly. So the myopic person can remove his spectacles while reading book.

a myopic person can not see the long distance object that is why he wear spectacles if he want to see near by object he does not need any spectacles and if he uses it for near by object he may have caught hypermetropia
